OUR STORY
Well, “Naksha” is a brand where we initially started with a whole lot of accessories that are mostly made out of sustainable elements like fabric, threads, wooden beads, jute, Tulsi beads and many more. We have a huge collection of colourful embroidered accessories which can be paired with any sort of traditional ethnic outfit as well as western attire. At the very beginning, we used to make mostly Hand-painted jewellery based on Bengali art and culture. There is a lot of designs which is inspired by the “Shantiniketani Alpana pattern”, ” Kalighat pot”, “Jamini Roy painting” etc. Gradually we broaden our dimensions and get into stitching and embroidery. Now we have a huge collection of colourful embroidered accessories which can be paired with any sort of traditional ethnic outfit as well as western attire. We started exploring various art forms from the different parts of india As in dance forms like Odishi, Bharatnatyam,Kathakali,Mohiniattam also various localised forms from Bengal as well: Chaau,Gamvira many more. Searching their significant design element and adding to our accessories on our own unique way.
As a brand, we aim to accumulate handcrafted localised culture and tradition of the country in our own unique way and make them into some significant wearable art pieces and surely there’s a lot to explore in future as well. Founder of Studio Naksha is dynamic duo– Debika and Debayan – known as Roy siblings. creators, dreamers, and budding conquerors of all things extraordinary! They started there journey with “Naksha” almost 4 years back and still it’s going on to touch new highs.. Along the way, they have faced numerous obstacles. Yet, instead of succumbing to adversity, they have chosen to overcome and learn from it. In the face of challenges and setbacks, this remarkable journey persists.
